To Live Here: A Haiku Anthology

During lockdown I discovered the haiku format. I started writing a few a day. I love the brevity and freedom the form offers; the ability to say so much with few words.

When I saw The Wee Sparrow Poetry Press issue a call out for creating a Haiku Anthology, I was excited to send in one of my pieces. ‘To Live Here’ is a collection of haiku’s on the theme of home, which explores the many facets of human experience, from the mundane to the sublime. You can read more about The Wee Sparrow Poetry Press here, and buy the anthology here (all proceeds are donated to charity)

In November 2023, I was invited to contribute to a group exhbition at Milton Keynes Gallery. Building on my writing practice, I created a printed series of haiku’s (including the piece from To Live Here.)
