LONG STORIES SHORT is a Community Interest Company dedicated to creative writing.

We provide inclusive writing workshops (online and in person) for communities of individuals, across generations, who might not otherwise have access to creative writing workshops. Creative writing is also sometimes combined with image making as well as other art forms.

Long Stories Short has two strands: free, low cost and paid writing workshops and risograph printing. These strands exist together and also work separately. Participants will have space and time to write together in workshops, then have their creations printed by us.

Long Stories Short workshops have taken place online and in different venues across London, as well as part of MK Gallery’s adult course programme.

We have run a series of free weekly creative writing workshops at Whittington Park Community Association from May to July 2025. We are hoping to continue to run these from January 2026.

Our offer:

-Bespoke, tailor made workshops in partnership with your organisaton. This could be a one off, or weekly/monthly offer. We love collaborating!

-10 week introduction to creative writing course, covering poetry, fiction, memoir and nature writing. We change genre every 2 weeks and these can be taught separately too.

-3 week short course on writing people, places and things.
